Description/Notes:
I saw two Painted Ladies (probably West Coast Ladies) doing their "mating flight dance" this last Wednesday in my back yard here on 5 acres in Penn Valley, California (foothills in western Nevada County northeast of Sacramento). This is rather early to be seeing something like this here, in fact it was the first clear day after weeks of rainy days, when temperatures surprisingly climbed toward 60 degrees.
