Description/Notes:
Here in Thousand Oaks (Ventura Co.), California (elev. ~800'), Location precision: estimated within a 5 km radius. I noted my first real signs of Painted Ladies heading towards the north and northwest yesterday [Tuesday, March 12], the first warmish sunny day (~65 degrees max) in quite sometime. Numbers observed were about 3-5 per minute in front of my house. This morning [Wednesday, March 13] is sunny but cooler (~58 degrees at 11:00 AM), and I have seen very few so far. Observed by John G. Pasko, e-mail reply to my own posting on the DesertLeps news group.
