Description/Notes:
Bulmers Road north of Fenelon Falls, Ontario. Location precision: estimated within a 2 km radius. [Observed by Susan Blayney, Ontario Butterflies Newsgroup.] Unfavourable winds, low temperatures and rain have kept the invasion on hold until yesterday [May 5, 2019]. We hit 21C. Three Red Admirals were observed at different times adjacent to our property on Bulmer’s Road north of Fenelon Falls. Also noted were a Comma sp., a Compton and a Mourning Cloak. The latter was methodically nectaring on a Willow catkin along with bees and hover flies. Cheers, Susan
