Description/Notes: 
Grammer Grove County Wildlife Area, Marshall County, Iowa. Location precision: within a 1m radius. One individual seen in open area with turf grass and a few trees. This individual was very yellow-tan in color, compared to the more saturated colors of others. The ID was confirmed with Kaufman's butterfly guide, with small eyespots on the hind underwing, distinct eyespots on the upper underwing, and the large black patch on the upper forewing. Survey from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. CDT. Sunny, p.m. temp about 70 F, calm in woods but light wind in open parking area.
