Description/Notes:
Near the Colorado River north of Lake Mojave, Clark County, Nevada. Location precision: within a 24m radius. Nectaring on Encelia farniosa. Today (3/4/19) I observed between 50 to 75 Painted Lady butterflies within a 1/2 mile radius of this shot; the most I have ever seen in one day in the Mojave Desert. They were everywhere and nectering on the brittle bush (Encelia farinosa). Observed by lonnyholmes, Vanessa Migration Project page, iNaturalist. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/21006214
