I was outside today on a nice clear warm day after a cool overcast day yesterday here in Thousand Oaks, CA, and I was surprised to still see a small number of Painted Ladies frantically flying by towards the north-northwest. They were mostly singletons probably at the rate of one every 30 seconds or so. Probably close to the end of the migration in my area. Location precision: estimated within a 5 km radius. Observed by John G. Pasko; update from an earlier e-mail reply to my posting on the DesertLeps newsgroup.
