Description/Notes:
On 4-24-19, my wife and I counted 83 painted ladies flying past us flying in a NW to NE direction over a 45 minute period. Most of them were single butterflies, but about 20% were pairs flying within 1 foot of each other. Most were flying at 4-5 feet in elevation. We first noticed the migration on 4-21-19, but the numbers were highest today. Today was also the warmest day with temperatures reaching 74 degrees F and there was less of a head wind today.
