Description/Notes:
South Lake Tahoe, California. Location precision: estimated within a 4 km radius. Observed by Ian Watkinson, DesertLeps newsgroup. Even though I’m a moth man, thought I would pass on that painted ladies are in amazing abundance here in South Lake Tahoe where we are taking a few days break. Mostly they are flying fast in an approximate NE direction. We did notice that many would nectar on flowering sallow catkins. Ian.
