Description/Notes:
Jerome Grande Shaft, Yavapai County, Arizona. Location precision: estimated within a 200m radius. Observed by Tom Horton, posted to Desert Leps Newsgroup. "I had wanted to make this trip last Monday, but it rained. I drove up yesterday. It was a gorgeous day. Temps in the mid 80s with very little winds. In the past, I have driven up the 4-wheel drive trail. Last year when I did it, the ruts closest to the edge were getting kind of deep. This gives you an uncomfortable feeling like you're going to roll over. If you were to roll on some places on this road, you would roll for a long ways. We had a lot of rain since I was up there last year. I walked. It's all up hill (puff, puff, pant, pant). If I was after Buckeyes and Varigated Frits, it would have been worth the effort." ….
