North Carolina State University Agroecology Education Farm, Raleigh, North Carolina. Location precision: estimated within a 200m radius. Observed by Harry LeGrand, Carolinaleps Newsgroup. "I went back to the excellent NCSU Agro-ecology Farm garden this morning. It was truly hopping with a few hundred butterflies, though about 2/3rds were you know what [Fiery Skipper]. The Butterflyweeds are blinking out but still had a bunch of things, but the zinnias, Gomphrena, and other plantings were full of things. Sadly, no Gulf Fritillary or Painted Lady this time, but second broods of grass skippers are coming out now, so a good diversity of them. (The Summer Doldrums in the Piedmont are about over now.) Here is the list: … American Lady 5; Red Admiral 1 - on mud at Yates Pond …."
