Aidens Lane, Trepassey, Newfoundland, Canada. Observed by Jeff Harrison, nf.insects Newsgroup. Location precision: estimated within a 120m radius. "Since my last posting July I have recorded the following butterflies: July 16: Cabbage White, (3) Renews; Aug 12: Bog Copper (60+) Old Rail Line west of Biscay Bay; Aug 30: Atlantis Fritillary (1) Powells Head Trepassey; Sept 3: Arctic Blue (1) St Shotts; Sept 3: Red Admiral (2) Aidens Lane Trepassey; Sept 3: Northern Blue (4) St Shotts; Note: there were numerous blues at this SS but only ID'd a few. Sept 8: Monarch (1) Powells Head Trepassey; Sept 13: Compton Tortoiseshell (1) Powells Head Trepassey; Sept 14: Pink-edged Sulphur (1), St Shotts; Sept 14: Clouded Sulphur (1), St Shotts; Sept 14: American Lady (2) St Shotts; Sept 14: Compton Tortoiseshell (1) Aidens Lane Trepassey." "Since the first sighting of Red Admiral here on Sept 3 we have been seeing them daily in low numbers. "On our return trip to St Shotts on Sept 14 we searched extensively for blues but they seem could find none."
