Description/Notes:
Summit to Summit Mtwy, Calabasas, California, USA. Location precision: within a 13 m radius. The Daily Vanessa: I did some roadside observations around a large patch of California Brittlebush on a north facing slope. During the hour I spent at this spot, I saw about 50 migrating Painted Ladies flying up the slope and continuing north. Some stopped over at the Brittlebush flowers to quickly feed. During this hour, the wind turned from 4mph NNW to 15mph S, with gusts up to 19mph. 69 F, clear.
